In recent weeks, the Democratic Party has become increasingly fixated on the Epstein saga, a narrative they seemingly ignored until it presented itself as a potential political tool against former President Trump. However, it appears that the air is rapidly escaping this balloon of political intrigue.
Notably, Harry Enten, a data analyst at CNN, has observed a significant decline in public interest regarding the Epstein situation, characterizing it as âa political nothingburger.â
According to the Independent, via Yahoo News:
Epstein story has become a ânothingburger,â data expert says
After initially expressing surprise at the American public’s interest in Jeffrey Epstein and the Trump administrationâs mismanagement of the investigation into the late sex offender, CNNâs chief data analyst Harry Enten has now declared that the issue is âquickly becoming something of a nothingburger.â
Vice President JD Vance inadvertently reignited discussions about the so-called âEpstein Filesâ when he mocked Democrats for suddenly showing interest in the case during a Sunday interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo.
âFrom a political standpoint, this story is rapidly turning into a dud,â Enten stated on CNN News Central, prompting anchor Kate Bolduan to remark on how âwildâ it was to witness such a decline in interest.
âObserve this: Google searches for Epstein have plummeted by 89% compared to just three weeks ago. Interest is falling through the floor,â an animated Enten exclaimed. âItâs no longer the top search term associated with Donald Trump, which has shifted to topics like tariffs and Vladimir Putin, especially with an upcoming meeting later this week.â
He concluded, âAt this point, the American publicâs interest in this story is quickly becoming something of a nothingburger!â

The Democratic Party continues its pattern of jumping from one controversy to the next, hoping to leverage each for political gain against Trump, yet so far they have come up empty-handed. It’s a classic case of political whack-a-mole, where the mallet simply isnât making contact.
