Former President Trump has taken a sharp jab at CNN, criticizing the network for a leaked report concerning Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities. He has even gone so far as to demand the dismissal of reporter Natasha Bertrand.
Bertrand has earned notoriety for her tendency to perpetuate dubious narratives. Before her tenure at CNN, she was instrumental in promoting the controversial claim that a group of “51 intelligence experts” believed Hunter Biden’s laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
In a recent broadcast, CNN anchor Dana Bash attempted to counter Trump’s criticism but appeared visibly flustered, struggling to articulate her points coherently.
Townhall reported:
Trump Strikes Again: CNN’s Leaked Intelligence Report Exposed as Unreliable
Trump has managed to get under CNN’s skin once more, revealing the leaked intelligence report as fundamentally flawed. This report claimed minimal damage to Iran’s nuclear capabilities and was classified as a low-confidence, top-secret document. Speculation suggests that it was leaked by Democratic congressional staffers, given its dubious nature—after all, suggesting that Operation Midnight Hammer, which has been leak-proof, would somehow be compromised is quite the stretch. Even Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, has acknowledged that the program is significantly degraded.
The report made headlines on CNN, only to be swiftly discredited. The Trump administration’s narrative has framed those endorsing the report as undermining U.S. military efforts. Bash was particularly incensed by Trump’s remarks at the NATO press conference earlier today, asserting that CNN does not disparage the U.S. military, describing Trump’s strategy as an attempt to steer the conversation in his favor.

There will certainly be ramifications for this situation.
Rubio at NATO pushing back on reports regarding Iran’s nuclear facilities: “These leakers are professional stabbers. That’s what they are. They go out and they read this stuff and they tell you what it says, against the law, but they characterize it for you in a way that is absolutely false.” pic.twitter.com/bDJdF2BkSC

Regardless, it’s always entertaining to witness CNN’s reactions in such situations.
