In a recent CNN panel discussion, Scott Jennings showcased his rhetorical prowess, decisively countering arguments about the accomplishments of Donald Trump and the Republican Party. His first target was fellow Republican Geoff Duncan, the former Lieutenant Governor of Georgia, who appeared to downplay Trump’s successes. Jennings then turned his attention to Karen Finney, former spokeswoman for Hillary Clinton, delivering a performance that was nothing short of spectacular.
The Daily Caller provides additional details:
During the segment, Democratic strategist Karen Finney elicited laughter from Jennings when she recounted a meeting focused on strategies to defeat President Trump. She noted that Trump had secured the necessary 270 electoral votes to win the presidency in the early hours of November 6, 2024, triumphing over Kamala Harris with a final tally of 322 to 226. Finney elaborated on the meeting’s attendees, which included notable Trump critic Bill Kristol.
“We cannot overlook the divides present at this table, nor the countless individuals who identify as anti-Trump, many of whom were once Republicans. I recall attending a meeting before the election with Bill Kristol and various conservative friends across the aisle, all united in our mission to defeat Trump. It was a meeting to—” Finney stated, only to be interrupted by Jennings’ quip, “How did it work out?”

The opponents Jennings faces in these debates seem to inhabit a parallel universe where discontent reigns and the election is still an active concern. Perhaps someone should inform them that the outcome has already been decided and they emerged on the losing side.
