Judicial Interference: A Constitutional Dilemma for Trump
In a recent segment on CNN, Scott Jennings emerged as a solitary beacon of critique amid a sea of political commentary. He raised alarms about the actions of certain judges, whom he describes as “activists,” allegedly being “shopped” by Democrats. Jennings argues that this trend poses a significant threat to the stability of the United States’ constitutional framework, suggesting that the judiciary is overstepping its bounds and encroaching upon presidential authority.
Jennings doesn’t mince words; he warns that continued judicial overreach may compel Congress to step in, a move that could further complicate the already fraught relationship between branches of government. He highlights a concerning pattern: judges interfering in executive decisions with what he perceives as a politically motivated agenda aimed at stalling President Trump’s administration, mirroring tactics seen during his first term.

During his appearance on CNN, Jennings articulated the potential ramifications of federal district court judges engaging in lawfare to “tie up” President Donald Trump. He stated that such actions could lead to a “constitutional crisis.”
“The president has consistently affirmed his commitment to abide by the Supreme Court’s rulings,” he noted. “While there may be disagreements regarding the interpretation and implementation of these decisions, the president has maintained his intention to respect the court’s directives.
However, these individual district judges, seemingly handpicked by those opposed to the president, attempting to impose nationwide injunctions to hinder his governance, represent a genuine threat. In my view, this is a constitutional crisis, as it is evident that their objective is to run out the clock until he is no longer in office.”
“This is reminiscent of the tactics employed by Democrats during his first term,” Jennings added. “Their goal is to obstruct his ability to govern.”

-Require voters to prove they’re citizens
-Defund sanctuary cities that violate federal lawThe plan is obvious: Run out the clock on the Trump presidency. pic.twitter.com/MFuGXIMtCV

In conclusion, Jennings emphasizes that the American electorate did not endorse a governance model dictated by liberal judges. This judicial encroachment, he argues, must not be allowed to persist without challenge.
