Colbert Wrecks Trump’s ‘Common Sense’ Plane Crash Spin With 1 Brutal Line

Stephen Colbert slammed Donald Trump on Thursday for trying to blame the tragic airplane crash in Washington, D.C. on diversity hiring at the Federal Aviation Administration.

During his “Late Show” segment, Colbert criticized Trump for politicizing a moment of grief for the families affected by the crash. He pointed out that the victims’ families were not concerned with politics at that moment and Trump’s baseless accusations only added insult to injury.

Colbert played a clip of Trump justifying his claim by saying he had “common sense.” The host retorted, “No, not OK. No common sense and no common decency.”

Colbert also mocked Trump for his tendency to blame everything on diversity, calling it “his only game.” From fires in Los Angeles to grocery prices, Trump always finds a way to link issues to diversity hiring.
