A Shocking Case of Child Sexual Assault by a Fake Life Coach
A man, aged 32, who masqueraded as a children’s life coach, play therapist, and mentor has been sentenced to 29 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy under the guise of being his life coach.
Frank Raymond, also known as “Arya Magi” online, was convicted of first-degree sexual assault, attempted sexual assault on a child, and sexual exploitation. The 17th District Attorney Brian Mason condemned the crime as “outrageous and horrific,” emphasizing the betrayal of trust involved in such actions.
The Thornton police apprehended Raymond in June 2022 after discovering him sleeping with a naked 12-year-old boy in a car outside a restaurant. The victim identified Raymond as his life coach, whom he had met at a park a year earlier. Shockingly, videos found on Raymond’s phone revealed the sexual abuse he inflicted on the young boy.
Further investigation into Raymond’s cloud storage unveiled a trove of files depicting the sexual abuse of children, leaving even seasoned law enforcement officers shaken. Raymond faced additional charges in Adams County District Court for possessing videos of child sexual exploitation, resulting in a five-year prison sentence.
