On Thanksgiving Day, a serious crash at the intersection of East 120th Avenue and Potomac Street in Adams County resulted in six people, including two children, being hospitalized.
The South Adams County Fire Department first reported the crash on X on Thursday afternoon, announcing the closure of 120th Avenue in both directions between Sable and Southgate boulevards.
According to a summary released by the State Patrol, the accident occurred at 3:32 p.m. when a Jeep failed to obey a traffic control device on Potomac and entered the intersection, colliding with a Ford Escape SUV. The driver and passenger of the Jeep were ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with possible critical injuries. Additionally, two adults and two children in the Ford were also hospitalized.
The State Patrol is currently investigating the collision and is requesting anyone with information to contact 303-239-4501.
