CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by five Wrigleyville and Boystown residents frustrated with the inaccurate narratives presented at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. While the areas covered by CWBChicago have expanded to include Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and various North Side neighborhoods, the core mission remains the same: to offer original public safety reporting with better context and detail than mainstream media channels.
