In a recent incident, police body cam footage revealed officers rushing to the family home of D4vd in Texas following a swatting call, shortly after Celeste Rivas‘ remains were discovered in his vehicle.
The dramatic footage depicts police arriving at D4vd’s Hempstead residence on September 18, armed and ready, responding to a 911 report claiming gunshots were heard and a woman was screaming.
Upon knocking, it was the stunned parents of the artist who opened the door, clearly bewildered by the situation unfolding on their doorstep.
Audio captured on police body cams reveals D4vd’s mother explaining to officers that four family members reside in the house, while her children are upstairs—hinting D4vd himself might have been absent at the time.
Amidst the chaos, D4vd’s father expressed concern that someone was “messing with us,” while his mother worried about potential intruders on their property. Officers reassured the family they would conduct a thorough check.
According to reports, the police spent less than 20 minutes at the scene before leaving, without filing any incident report, indicating the call was indeed a mischief-driven “swatting” prank.
D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, is linked to the disturbing discovery of Celeste Rivas’s body earlier this month.
Her remains were found in his Tesla in Los Angeles, with reports suggesting that D4vd’s acquaintances had assumed Celeste was his girlfriend, believing her to be 19 years old. Celeste had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore since early 2024.
Authorities suspect she may have been deceased for weeks prior to the discovery of her remains.
In light of these events, D4vd has gone virtually unheard from, as he cancelled the remainder of his U.S. tour on September 19 and postponed the release of his deluxe album, “Withered.”
He has not made any public appearances since cutting short his tour and relocating from the Hollywood Hills residence where detectives executed a search warrant.
