A cute California puppy named Money has gone missing after being thrown at sheriff’s deputies by a wanted suspect in an attempt to escape arrest. The incident took place in the Monterey County town of Salinas, and the sheriff’s office released a somewhat alarming photo of the 6-month-old Doberman in hopes of finding him.

The blurry image of Money with bulging eyes and bared fangs prompted mixed reactions from the public, with some expressing concern about the dog’s demeanor. However, the sheriff’s office clarified that Money was not the suspect’s dog and belonged to a loving owner who described him as friendly and likely scared after the ordeal.

The suspect, identified as Orlando Figueroa-Martinez, 38, now faces felony weapons charges and animal abuse counts for his actions. According to reports, Figueroa-Martinez ignored commands to surrender and threw the dog at a deputy while trying to evade arrest.

Law enforcement is urging the community to be on the lookout for Money and help bring him back home. The owner is desperate to reunite with their beloved pet, emphasizing that Money is a good dog despite the unflattering photo released by the sheriff’s office.

The search for Money continues, and anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. Let’s hope that this adorable puppy is safely returned to his owner soon.
