Visceral body camera footage reveals the tense moments as law enforcement in Michigan confronted and took down a gunman who attacked a Mormon church.
The Grand Blanc Township Police Department unveiled the shocking video, capturing officers commanding the assailant to surrender his firearm.
Officers can be heard urgently instructing, “shoot him,” “get on the ground,” and “drop the gun now” just moments before gunfire erupts. Armed with rifles, the police advanced through the church’s parking area to neutralize the threat.

The disturbing episode unfolded on September 28, when a 40-year-old man named Thomas Sanford opened fire at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Michigan.
According to police reports, Sanford drove his vehicle into the church, discharged his weapon, and ignited a fire within the building, resulting in four fatalities and injuries to eight others.
