Crash closes part of Canterbury highway

A crash on a Canterbury highway tonight has left three people injured and part of the road closed. Emergency services responded to the two-vehicle crash at around 5pm, with one person suffering serious injuries and two others with moderate injuries. State Highway 1 (Waitmate Highway) is currently closed between McNamaras Rd and Molloys Rd, with diversions in place. Motorists are advised to avoid the area while police attend to the incident.
