Crazed Commuter Assaults MTA Conductor on Queens Subway Train

In a shocking incident in Queens early Thursday, a crazed commuter punched an MTA conductor so hard that he hit his head on the wall of a subway train. The brutal attack took place on a Manhattan-bound A train passing through Beach 25th Street in Far Rockaway around 1:30 a.m., according to authorities and sources.

The 37-year-old transit worker was assaulted after exchanging words with the attacker, who then slugged him in the face. The force of the blow was so strong that the conductor hit his head on the train cabin wall, causing injuries that required him to be taken to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital. Fortunately, he was listed in stable condition.

The male attacker, described as wearing a black coat, fled the scene after the assault and is currently being sought by the police. NYC Transit President Demetrius Crichlow condemned the attack, stating that transit employees should never be subjected to such violence and that the perpetrator must be brought to justice.

“With our vast camera network, we are confident our law enforcement partners will find the person responsible who then must face justice for their reprehensible actions,” Crichlow said in a statement.
