Cristin Milioti Excited for the Possibility of a Second Season of “The Penguin”
Cristin Milioti is eagerly awaiting news about a potential second season of the hit DC Comics show, “The Penguin.” The Emmy-winning actress expressed her enthusiasm for returning to the series, praising series creator Lauren LeFranc and the entire cast for their incredible work.
Colin Farrell, who stars in the series, has taken a more laid-back approach, stating that he is not in a rush for a sophomore run. Despite this, discussions about a second season have been ongoing, with HBO and Max boss Casey Bloys confirming that talks have taken place between LeFranc and executive producer Matt Reeves. Reeves, however, is currently focused on directing the upcoming “The Batman” movie with Robert Pattinson.
“In Your Dreams,” Milioti’s new animated Netflix movie, explores the theme of divorce as two siblings seek the help of the mythical Sandman to keep their parents together amidst their separation.
Reflecting on the film’s poignant message, Milioti shared, “It really moved me to think about how we deal with hardships and how we sometimes want things to be different, and the ways in which we navigate that.”
While addressing the serious topic of marriage problems in a family film, Milioti drew parallels to classic animated movies like “The Lion King” and “Bambi,” which also tackle deep subjects. She emphasized the importance of starting nuanced conversations with children about difficult and scary experiences.
“In Your Dreams” is now available for streaming on Netflix, offering viewers a heartfelt exploration of family dynamics and resilience in the face of adversity.
