Cyera agrees to acquire Oasis Security for $1B to safeguard proliferating AI agents

Cyera, a data security firm that recently secured $600 million at a valuation of $12 billion, revealed on Tuesday its intention to acquire Oasis Security. The acquisition is valued at approximately $1 billion, with the payment expected to be mostly in cash, supplemented by Cyera shares.

Oasis specializes in managing non-human identities, focusing primarily on AI agents. As these AI agents become more widespread, companies need cybersecurity solutions to monitor their behavior and control access to other software.

Established in 2022, Oasis has accumulated around $195 million in funding from investors including Accel, Craft Ventures, and Cyberstarts.

This acquisition underscores the growing demand for cybersecurity providers that protect businesses from threats enhanced by AI.

Cyera, sharing investors such as Accel and Cyberstarts with Oasis, has been actively acquiring other companies, including Ryft, backed by Index Ventures, and the newly established Genie Security.

Following the acquisition, Cyera aims to incorporate Oasis’s technology into an integrated platform for identity and data security.

Despite Cyera’s recent achievement of surpassing $150 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), the company remains unprofitable, as reported by JS last month. Over its five-year history, Cyera has raised approximately $2.3 billion in total funding.
