The LAPD may have crucial evidence in the D4vd case, with surveillance footage from the singer’s rental home in Hollywood Hills that might clarify if Celeste Rivas was inside before her untimely death.
TMZ reports that authorities confiscated all security camera footage from the residence last month during a search warrant execution. The homeowner, Malden Trifunovic, revealed that the external cameras capture anyone entering or exiting the property, potentially allowing police to track Celeste’s actions prior to her death.
Malden stated he has not viewed any of the security footage, as he did not have access to the cameras to ensure renter privacyâtherefore, he cannot confirm whether Celeste was ever at the residence. He has reached out to the LAPD for a copy of the search warrant and an inventory of the items taken but has yet to receive a reply.
Malden has retained a private investigator to look into the circumstances surrounding Celeste’s death. However, the investigator has reported that the inquiry is in its early stages, and no information is yet available.

As previously reported, acquaintances of D4vd have indicated that the singer and Celeste often appeared as a couple, with many believing the 14-year-old was actually 19 and attending USC.
Celeste’s dismembered remains were found in D4vd’s Tesla, which was parked a block away when it was towed on September 5, leading to the horrific discovery of her body days later.
Almost six weeks later, the LAPD has not identified any suspects or persons of interest in this case. One significant delay is the determination by the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office regarding Celeste’s cause of death.
