Tragic Shooting Claims the Life of a Father Celebrating His Birthday in the Bronx
A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Bronx as a father, Keon Gill, was shot dead while celebrating his 43rd birthday. The fatal shooting took place in Riverdale at West 242nd Street and Broadway around 2:50 a.m. An unidentified 35-year-old man was also injured in the incident, sustaining a gunshot wound to the knee.
According to reports, the night out turned tragic when the two men became victims of an attempted robbery. A relative of Gill described him as a dedicated father and husband, highlighting the devastating loss felt by his loved ones. Gill, who resided in Middletown, New York, was known for his commitment to his family.
Following the shooting, both victims were quickly transported to St. Barnabas Hospital by EMS. Tragically, Gill succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 35-year-old man remains in stable condition as he recovers from the gunshot wound.
