On March 17, Prescott initiated a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR) case in Texas. However, the hearing was called off after both parties agreed to “mutually postpone” the session to engage in discussions outside the courtroom.
Sarah Jane Ramos’ legal representative, Raymond Rafool, conveyed to People, “The hearing Dak Prescott arranged for temporary relief last week was mutually postponed for the parents to attempt to address their and their children’s lives.”
Rafool further stated, “Sarah Jane is pleased with this approach and believes it aligns with the children’s best interests, which she has always prioritized. Sarah Jane is and has always been a mother first.”
Similarly, Prescott’s lawyer, Levi G. McCathern II, released a statement, saying, “The case remains unresolved, but both parties have decided to delay the initial hearing to try to settle all the issues without court involvement.”
McCathern II emphasized that the NFL player “is an absolutely phenomenal father and is eager to collaborate with Sarah Jane to establish a healthy co-parenting relationship and prioritize the best interests of his children.”
Subsequently, on April 16, the couple reached an informal temporary custody arrangement for their daughters outside of court, according to Page Six.
