Dana Carvey faced a challenging task when impersonating Joe Biden on “Saturday Night Live.”

During a recent episode of his “Fly on the Wall” podcast, the 70-year-old comedian discussed why he chose a “delicate” approach to portraying the former president on the sketch comedy show’s 50th season.

Carvey explained, “I knew that he was compromised mentally. I mean, it was obvious. But it was a delicate thing in the comedy world.”

Guest Julie Bowen pointed out, “But it’s comedy!” a sentiment Carvey agreed with.
