Dana White’s Bull, Playmate, Making Waves in the Bull Riding World
It isn’t just Dana White’s day job that involves people going to sleep … it’s also an occupational hazard in one of his side hustles – bull riding! The UFC honcho isn’t saddling up on the 2,000 lb. animals, but he’s very much involved in the sport. White owns his own bull, Playmate, which recently competed in a Professional Bull Riders event.
Dana White’s Passion for Mean and Violent Bulls
“He’s a bad boy,” Dana told Babcock on the TMZ Sports TV show. “Last week he rode in the PBR, and they never made it out of the stall. He knocked the rider out before they even got out. I like mean, nasty, violent bulls,” White said of his relatively newfound passion.
Playmate’s Success in the Bull Riding Arena
FYI, Dana White’s Playmate has only been ridden successfully once in 11 outings. The 5-year-old bull comes from championship lineage – his dad was 3x PBR champ SweetPro’s Bruiser.
Upcoming Challenges for Playmate
White is gearing up for the World Finals in Texas, where 130 of the best bulls in the world will be competing. Playmate is one of them, and White is excited about his bull’s chances. The event will take place at AT&T Stadium in Big D next week.
Dana White’s Journey into Bull Riding
Surprisingly, Dana White’s interest in bull riding started back in 2015 when he rode a bull for the first time while filming ‘Lookin for a Fight.’ Since then, he has developed a deep passion for the sport and enjoys the thrill of being involved in the bull riding world.
