Danhausen has been making waves in the WWE Universe recently, especially after cursing Dominik Mysterio and the Original El Grande Americano on RAW. The former AEW star’s antics have caught the attention of fans and even WWE Superstars like Becky Lynch.
On Twitter, Danhausen asked Lynch about a GIF he uploaded, thinking it was her. Lynch clarified that it was actually referee Jessika Carr and asked Danhausen to curse her instead. Acknowledging the seriousness of identity theft, Danhausen agreed to do as requested.
Lynch has had ongoing issues with Carr, particularly during her feud with AJ Lee. It will be interesting to see if the Very Nice Very Evil star will follow through with cursing the referee as well.
Despite some initial criticism of Danhausen’s debut at Elimination Chamber, a backstage segment with Adam Pearce and The Judgment Day turned things around for the face-painted star. However, former WWE head writer Vince Russo expressed doubts about the company’s ability to get him over, citing past struggles with stars like Bray Wyatt.
Despite Russo’s skepticism, fans seem to be embracing the ‘curse’ gimmick, as evidenced by the positive reaction when Danhausen appeared in the ring recently. It remains to be seen how his character will continue to develop in WWE.
