The cast of “Boy Meets World” is reuniting to show support for Topanga.
On the dedication night of “Dancing With the Stars,” taking place on Tuesday, Danielle Fishel will perform a dance set to the beloved theme song from the show, in tribute to William Daniels, who famously portrayed Mr. George Feeny.
Fishel took to Instagram on Monday to announce that several cast members will be present in the audience for the performance, including Will Friedle (Eric Matthews), Betsy Randle (Amy Matthews), William Russ (Alan Matthews), Trina McGee (Angela Moore), Bonnie Bartlett (Lila Bolander and William’s spouse), Matthew Lawrence (Jack Hunter), and Alex Désert (Eli Williams).
“I’m thrilled to have this fabulous group joining me at DWTS for Dedication night! I feel an immense responsibility to deliver a vibrant and joyful tribute to a man who inspired countless individuals to become educators and has positively impacted multiple generations,” Fishel expressed in her Instagram post. “This dance is my dedication to Bill, representing all of you who admired his work throughout the years. Sadly, @rider_strong is away for work and will be missed.”
Fishel will showcase a jive along with her partner, Pasha Pashkov, on the Oct. 14 episode, with 98-year-old Daniels joining in on the fun.
“Saying it out loud is simply wild, but yes, we will dance to the iconic ‘Boy Meets World’ theme song that everyone knows and loves,” she previously revealed on her podcast, “Danielle With the Stars.” “I’m absolutely ecstatic. It’s really a salute to Bill and the significant role he has played in my journey, as well as the influence ‘Boy Meets World’ holds in my life. I genuinely feel like my experience with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ has provided a wonderful second chapter for me as a performer.”
Fishel spoke about how profoundly inspirational Daniels has been for her and the extended TV family. She stated, “Being able to express my gratitude and create a platform for him to receive the adoration he truly deserves is something I will cherish. It’s going to be a very memorable moment, and I’m absolutely looking forward to it!”
“Boy Meets World” originally aired from 1993 to 2000, with the cast later reuniting for a spinoff series titled “Girl Meets World,” which ran for three seasons on the Disney Channel from 2014 to 2017.
