The legal guardian of one of the Florida teens accused in the brutal killing of 14-year-old Danika Troy was arrested on drug charges shortly after the tragic murder. Danika was lured into the woods, shot, and set on fire in a horrific crime.
Jana Williams, 36, who had temporary custody of teen murder suspect Gabriel Williams, 16, following the death of his mother, was apprehended for a probation violation and felony drug possession on December 1, as per court records.
Authorities are also investigating whether Gabriel used his aunt’s handgun to commit the murder of Danika.
Jana Williams had been on probation for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia since April, with prior charges including traffic violations, theft, and drug-related offenses from October 2023.
The new charges against Williams include felony probation violation, felony drug possession, and misdemeanor offenses. She is currently held without bond.
A Facebook photo from February 2022 shows Williams, her husband, and Gabriel at Universal Studios Florida.
Gabriel Williams and Kimahri Blevins, both charged with first-degree premeditated murder in Danika’s death, allegedly lured her into the woods in Pace, shot her, and burned her body.
Danika’s mother, Ashley Troy, revealed that the boys convinced her daughter to go into the woods under false pretenses.
The teenage suspects are in juvenile detention without bond. It remains unclear if they will be charged as adults or if their parents will face legal consequences.
