Victoria Beckham’s Money Woes: A Look Into Her Marriage with David Beckham

Victoria Beckham’s marriage to David Beckham hit a rough patch when she turned to him for financial support. The former soccer star revealed in a recent interview that the financial strain on their relationship was a major challenge they had to overcome.

“For her to say, ‘We need some money, the business needs more money,’ that was hard for both of us,” said David, 50. “Because I didn’t have the money to keep doing this, and eventually I was like, ‘This cannot continue.’

Victoria’s love for plants also added to their financial burden. David shared in her Netflix docuseries, Victoria Beckham, that her plant obsession was costing them a whopping £70,000 ($93,000) a year. On top of that, they were paying someone £15,000 ($19,000) a year just to water the plants.

The situation became so dire that David described it as the hardest thing he had ever had to fix. “So I went to her, and I decided to just tell the truth, exactly the way it is, and I didn’t know how she’d react. I said, ‘Victoria, we have to change everything, restructure the business, and that’s gonna be painful,'” he recalled.

It was a difficult conversation to have, but ultimately, it was necessary for the couple to address their financial issues head-on. Despite the challenges they faced, David and Victoria were able to work through their money woes and strengthen their marriage.
