David Goyer, the talented writer known for his work on superhero films like the “Dark Knight” trilogy and “Man of Steel,” is eager to return to the world of superheroes with the upcoming “Blade” movie. Goyer, who wrote the 1998 “Blade” starring Wesley Snipes, expressed his interest in helping with the new project in a recent interview with Variety.

Despite offering his services to Marvel, Goyer has not been contacted about the new “Blade” movie. He remains hopeful that Marvel will reach out to him and is open to writing the script for the film. Goyer has a deep connection to the character of Blade, as it was one of the first superheroes he worked on in his career.

While Goyer is mostly focused on his TV projects at the moment, including Apple TV+’s “Murderbot” and Netflix’s “The Sandman,” he is excited about the possibility of returning to the superhero genre. He acknowledges that he has done a lot in the world of superheroes but feels a sense of nostalgia for the character of Blade.

Goyer’s current projects have been generating buzz, especially “The Sandman,” which has faced challenges due to the timing of its ending coinciding with sexual misconduct accusations against author Neil Gaiman. Despite the controversy, Goyer and his team have worked hard to bring Gaiman’s vision to life on screen.

As Goyer looks ahead to the future, he remains open to the possibility of working on the new “Blade” movie if Marvel decides to reach out to him. With his experience and passion for the character, Goyer could bring a fresh perspective to the project and help create an exciting new chapter in the Blade saga. David Goyer, the renowned writer and producer, recently opened up about the decision by Netflix to air his show despite feeling apprehensive about it. He shared that although it was a strange situation, he understood the importance of showcasing the hard work put in by the entire team involved in the project.

Looking ahead, Goyer is gearing up for the third season of Apple’s “Foundation,” a series based on Isaac Asimov’s iconic sci-fi saga. He revealed that the upcoming season will focus on the character of The Mule, a pivotal figure in Asimov’s novels. Goyer emphasized the significance of earning The Mule’s storyline by establishing the success of The Foundation first.

As fans eagerly anticipate the continuation of the “Foundation” series, Goyer hinted at a seamless transition from Season 3 to Season 4, suggesting that the two seasons could be seen as a cohesive 20-episode arc. While Season 4 has yet to be officially confirmed by Apple, Goyer remains hopeful about the future of the show.

In addition to his work on “Foundation,” Goyer is optimistic about a potential second season for “Murderbot,” a comedy series led by Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd. He expressed his desire to attract a diverse audience beyond traditional sci-fi fans, highlighting the positive critical reception of the show.

Despite his success in the superhero and sci-fi genres, Goyer is exploring new horizons with upcoming projects that deviate from his usual themes. While details remain under wraps, he teased that his future endeavors will feature genre elements but offer a departure from complex world-building.

In a surprising twist, Goyer revealed that his next projects will not involve superheroes, sci-fi, or fantasy, signaling a fresh direction in his creative journey. However, he assured fans that his signature style and genre influences will still be present in his upcoming works.

As David Goyer continues to push boundaries and explore new storytelling avenues, audiences can expect innovative and captivating projects that showcase his versatility as a writer and producer. Stay tuned for more updates on his upcoming ventures as he embarks on exciting new storytelling adventures.
