I hereby grant approval for the appeal submitted by the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA) on June 6, 2025, in accordance with section 1106(a) of the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA). I also endorse AIDEA’s revised consolidated application from 2016 for the Ambler Road Project transportation system for the reasons detailed in the subsequent Statement of Reasons. In reaching my determination, I have taken into account all pertinent information as deemed necessary and suitable under section 1106(a)(2) of ANILCA.
As a result, I instruct all relevant Federal agencies to swiftly provide the necessary authorizations essential for the initiation of the Ambler Road Project. The specifics regarding how these authorizations should be processed are outlined in the Statement of Reasons.
