In response to the release of documents related to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna (Calif.) stated that the British royal family should compensate victims of convicted sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein.
Khanna expressed his strong views to The I Paper, saying, “The Royal Family should be ashamed and horrified. They should be compensating each of the working class girls who were victims of the Epstein case.”
Following the passing of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the Department of Justice has released thousands of files connected to Epstein’s case, a law co-sponsored by Khanna and Republican Rep. Thomas Massie (Ky.).
Among the released files were emails and photographs that have raised questions about the royal family, including a controversial image showing Mountbatten-Windsor with Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
The DOJ recently released an email sent to Maxwell in 2001, connecting it to the “Duke of York,” Mountbatten-Windsor’s former title.
Buckingham Palace took action by removing all royal titles from Mountbatten-Windsor after allegations surfaced regarding his association with Epstein.
Khanna’s suggestion for the royal family to compensate Epstein’s victims has not received a response from Buckingham Palace.
Recent revelations from Epstein’s case files seem to align with allegations made by Virginia Giuffre against Mountbatten-Windsor in 2021. Despite reaching an out-of-court settlement, Giuffre accused the former prince of sexual assault when she was a minor.
