The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) was the place to be on Saturday night, as the 14th annual Art+Film Gala brought together the biggest names in entertainment, fashion, music, and philanthropy. The event, set against the stunning backdrop of Chris Burden’s Urban Light installation, celebrated visionary creatives in the arts and cinema.
Hosted by co-chairs Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow, the gala honored filmmaker Ryan Coogler, known for his work on blockbuster films like “Black Panther,” “Creed,” and the recent hit “Sinners.” Renowned artist Mary Corse, famous for her luminous perception paintings that challenge viewers to see the world in a new light, was also recognized for her contributions to the art world.
Gucci, a longtime supporter of the event, returned as the presenting sponsor, showcasing designs by Demma on the red carpet. Celebrities like Cindy Crawford and her daughter Kaia Gerber dazzled in Gucci creations, with Crawford sporting an off-the-shoulder embroidered gold gown and Gerber stunning in a cherry red sequin number. The mother-daughter duo shared a special moment getting ready together, with Crawford joking that Gerber would have to entertain her at the event since she didn’t know many people. Gerber, on the other hand, praised her mom for keeping her on time and coordinating their outfits.
Both Crawford and Gerber rocked matching black leather pumps with gold metallic heels from Demna’s La Famiglia collection, showing off their stylish footwear on the red carpet. Despite wearing the same shoes, Gerber expressed no qualms about twinning with her mom, emphasizing the fun they had getting ready together.
The evening was a star-studded affair, with guests from various industries coming together to celebrate art, film, and creativity. The Art+Film Gala continues to be a highlight on the social calendar, bringing together influential figures to support the arts and honor talented individuals making a difference in the creative world.
