A Denver Woman Arrested for Kidnapping 1-Year-Old Girl
Authorities have reported that a Denver woman, Tiffany Earving, and Stephen Harper were taken into custody on May 6 for attempted murder and kidnapping charges. The incident occurred in a Five Points apartment where the suspects allegedly entered, shot a man, and absconded with an infant.
The Denver Police Department received a distress call from a woman residing on the 2300 block of Court Place, reporting a shooting in her apartment. During the call, the woman screamed that her 1-year-old daughter had been taken by the perpetrators.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a man inside the apartment with a gunshot wound to his hip. The woman informed the police that she had a history of conflict with Earving, also known as Christmas, and that they had previously engaged in altercations.
According to the woman’s account, Earving, accompanied by Harper, threatened to harm her and her child. In an attempt to protect the infant, a male friend of the woman was shot by the suspects.
Law enforcement conducted a search and apprehended Earving and Harper on the fourth floor of a neighboring apartment building with the baby. Fortunately, the child was unharmed and was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
Earving denied involvement in the shooting, claiming she found the baby in an alley outside. Both suspects are currently detained at the Downtown Detention Center, with their upcoming court dates pending.
