Devon Sawa to Guest Star in Disney’s “Coven Academy”
Devon Sawa has been announced as a guest star in the upcoming Disney series “Coven Academy.” The show, which received the green light in August 2025, is set to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2026, although an exact release date has not been confirmed yet.
“Coven Academy” is based in New Orleans and follows the story of three teenage witches and their charming warlock peers at an elite magic school. Power, secrets, and forbidden love interests are at the forefront as the coven navigates through supernatural wars to protect their city and themselves.
Sawa will portray Mr. Cole, a cool teacher at Coven Academy who is tired of seeing students mistake talent for preparedness. Described as a good man and a brilliant warlock, Mr. Cole finds himself faced with a new student who threatens to disrupt the balance at the school.
Recently recognized for his roles in the “Chucky” TV series, Sawa has also appeared in shows like “Twisted Metal” and “Hacks.” His notable film credits include “Final Destination,” “SLC Punk,” and “Idle Hands.”
Sawa is represented by Artists First, Gersh, and Felker Toczek. The main cast of “Coven Academy” features Malina Pauli Weissman, Malachi Barton, Jordan Leftwich, Ora Duplass, Louis Thresher, and Tiffani Thiessen, with recurring appearances from Swayam Bhatia, Brendon Tremblay, and Keegan Connor Tracy.
Tim Federle created the series and serves as an executive producer through Chorus Boy Productions, along with Darren Swimmer, Todd Slavkin, Amanda Row, and Bronwyn North-Reist. The show is produced by Chorus Boy and Disney Branded Television.
