The recent episode of “Will Trent” left fans in shock as it hinted at a potential departure of a main cast member from the show. In the episode that aired on Tuesday, March 10, Faith, portrayed by Iantha Richardson, was seen struggling with the aftermath of putting Malcolm, played by DeVaughn Nixon, behind bars despite having developed feelings for him. This led to a heartfelt conversation between Faith and Amanda, portrayed by Sonja Sohn.

Faith expressed her doubts about continuing in her role at the GBI after realizing the personal toll it had taken on her relationships. The episode ended with Amanda visibly shocked by Faith’s contemplation of leaving her career behind, although it was not confirmed if Faith was indeed considering a different path.

Iantha Richardson, who plays Faith, had previously hinted at the impact of Faith and Malcolm’s romance on her character. She mentioned how Faith had experienced a “bad boy moment” but was ready to move on and find stability in her life. Richardson expressed her excitement for Faith to find joy and genuine love, hinting at a reignited purpose in her professional life.

“Will Trent,” based on a book by Karin Slaughter, follows the story of special agent Will Trent, portrayed by Ramón Rodríguez, as he navigates his personal history and pursues justice with a unique perspective. The show also features a talented cast including Erika Christensen, Jake McLaughlin, Sonja Sohn, Kevin Daniels, and Bluebell the dog.

Apart from Faith’s storyline, viewers can expect to see a new side of Will Trent in upcoming episodes. Rodríguez teased a deeper exploration of Will’s character as he engages with an unconventional therapist, offering a fresh perspective on mental health and coping mechanisms.
