Hosted by Blair Bathory and Gigi Saul Guerrero, two prominent figures in the horror industry, “The Séance” promises to deliver daily recaps, interviews, and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments from the Fantastic Pavilion. This dedicated space for genre cinema within the Palais des Festivals will be the epicenter of creative and chaotic energy during the festival.
The show will be available for streaming on popular social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with editorial support from Fangoria and Paramount Scares. Irene Bassett, global brand director at Paramount Home Entertainment, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that horror is not just a genre but a global language that can unite fans and creators alike.
Alex Noyer, the Ambassador and Executive Producer of the Fantastic Pavilion, emphasized the long-term vision behind “The Séance.” He highlighted the innovative content strategy and the collaboration with Blair Bathory and Gigi Saul Guerrero as key factors in bringing this project to life.
Blair Bathory, known for her social media presence and the popular ‘Something Scary’ podcast, will serve as co-host and creative director of the show. She expressed her excitement about leading a project that celebrates the legacy and future of genre films at one of the most prestigious events in the world.
Gigi Saul Guerrero, who will be debuting her film “Talking to Strangers” at the Fantastic Galas, shared her enthusiasm for “The Séance.” She believes that this project will inspire aspiring filmmakers to dream big and showcase the wild reality journey of experiencing Cannes for the first time.
