Diplo Admits to Being on LSD at Super Bowl Party
The Philadelphia Eagles were not the only ones flying high at Super Bowl LIX – superstar DJ Diplo was also feeling the effects of LSD. The 46-year-old confessed to being on the psychedelic drug once again during a Super Bowl party over the weekend.
Attending the Fanatics Super Bowl party in New Orleans on Saturday, February 8, Diplo admitted to a videographer that while he doesn’t usually indulge in mushrooms or weed, he does enjoy taking acid. “I like acid, though,” he casually mentioned. “I’m on it now again,” he added, as captured in footage published by TMZ on Monday, February 10. “I’m just chilling. It’s a little bit. I’m not, like, tripping. I’m not gonna do backflips.”
The music producer revealed that he microdoses on LSD around four times a week, emphasizing that he doesn’t recommend drug use to others but encourages those interested in psychedelics to try it and see how their bodies react.
This isn’t the first time Diplo has openly discussed his LSD use. In December 2024, he revealed during CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen that he was tripping on LSD. During the live video chat from the Los Angeles Convention Center, Diplo giggled as he admitted to taking LSD on the helicopter ride to the event.
When asked by Cohen about his unconventional LSD experiences, Diplo confirmed that he was currently under the influence of the drug. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he explained that he was on a “light trip” after microdosing but may have taken a larger dose earlier that day.
