The Fallout from Mandelson’s Connections with Epstein Continues.
At TGP, we have been closely monitoring the questionable appointment of the British ambassador to the United States selected by Prime Minister Keir Starmer, a decision that was widely criticized even before its formal announcement here.
Labour peer Lord Peter Mandelson appeared to be an imminent scandal, waiting to unfold.
Concerns had arisen since the release of documents from a 2023 civil suit filed by the US Virgin Islands against JPMorgan, which revealed Mandelson’s troubling connections to the late Jeffrey Epstein.
We first highlighted Mandelson’s link to these documents back in June 2023 in our piece titled More Than Just Sex Trafficking: Epstein Influence Peddling Revealed in New Court Filing – Bankers, Royals, Politicians and Businessmen in His Web of Contacts.
Despite these red flags, Starmer steadfastly defended his controversial pick, only to reverse his decision a few months later when the US House Oversight Committee disclosed the depth of Mandelson’s relationship with Epstein.
It’s hard to watch. Keir Starmer claimed he would have “never appointed” Mandelson if he had known then what he knows now.
His statements seem disingenuous.
He appears visibly shaken.

Following his dismissal, Lord Mandelson found himself engulfed in a series of challenges, a fate all too common for those caught in the ‘Epstein curse.’
In addition: Reports indicate that he may be stripped of civic honors from his former constituency.
As reported by The Telegraph,
“The former British ambassador to the US, dismissed last month due to new revelations regarding his friendship with Epstein, faces losing an honorary title granted by Hartlepool.”
“The development will mark another embarrassingly steep decline for Lord Mandelson, who has already seen his honors from Manchester Metropolitan University revoked amid the Epstein fallout.”
“There have also been increasing calls for his suspension from the Labour Party and demands for him to vacate his seat in the House of Lords.”
