Disney has announced another price increase for Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions, set to take effect starting October 21. This adjustment will impact many standalone plans and bundle options across both streaming platforms.

The Disney+ standalone plan that includes ads will rise by $2 to a new price of $11.99 per month, while the ad-free Disney+ Premium plan will see a $3 increase, bringing it to $18.99 monthly. For those who prefer to pay annually, the Disney+ Premium plan will increase by $30 to reach $189.99 per year.

Meanwhile, the Hulu plan featuring ads will also increase from $9.99 to $11.99 per month. On the contrary, the ad-free Hulu Premium version will maintain its price at $18.99 monthly. Furthermore, the cost of the ESPN Select subscription will see a rise from $11.99 to $12.99 per month.

For those enrolled in the Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads, the price will climb by $2 to $12.99 per month. Additionally, the comprehensive bundle that includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select with ads will increase by $3, now costing $19.99. A complete list of the updated pricing for all bundle options is available on the company’s support page.

This round of price increases comes at an awkward time, as many Disney+ subscribers recently canceled their subscriptions amid backlash against the temporary suspension of Jimmy Kimmel’s show. According to various reports, this recent development has led subscribers to voice their discontent by cutting back on their services.

Disney+ originally debuted in 2019 with a subscription rate of $6.99 per month. Since its launch, the service has progressively raised its prices in line with other streaming platforms. The last price increase occurred in October 2024, when the ad-free plan increased from $13.99 to $15.99 and the ad-supported plan rose from $7.99 to $9.99.
