Yoshinobu Yamamoto‘s residence was the target of an attempted burglary in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to sources close to TMZ Sports.
Reports indicate that three individuals were captured on surveillance footage at the Los Angeles-area home of the Dodgers’ star, breaking a glass door and multiple windows around 5 AM.
Thankfully, the suspects fled the scene upon the arrival of security personnel who promptly notified law enforcement, preventing any further breach of the property.
Authorities confirmed that the perpetrators had already absconded by the time police officers reached the location, initiating an active investigation into the incident.
Yamamoto and his teammates were away in Cincinnati competing against the Reds at Great American Ballpark the previous night, securing a 5-4 victory.
The Cy Young candidate most recently excelled on the mound during Monday’s game against Cincinnati, clinching a win. He is anticipated to start in the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.
