Stepson of Dog the Bounty Hunter Arrested for Shooting Teenage Son Dead
Gregory Zecca, the stepson of reality TV star Dog the Bounty Hunter, has been arrested for the tragic shooting death of his teenage son, Anthony. The incident occurred after Gregory allegedly consumed both marijuana and alcohol while watching a UFC match on TV with Anthony at a friend’s house.
According to authorities, Gregory was “drinking for several hours” before handling a firearm in the child’s presence. He was reportedly practicing drawing the gun from his waistband and dry-firing it, despite initially removing the magazine and clearing a live round from the chamber to render the firearm safe.
Tragically, Gregory eventually reinserted the magazine, chambered a round, and discharged a single shot that fatally struck his son. Sheriff Rambosk emphasized the dangers of mixing firearms, alcohol, and drugs, stating that the case serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences that can result from such a combination.
Gregory, who is the son of Dog’s wife, Francie Frane, was not immediately taken into custody after the shooting. However, an investigation was promptly launched to determine the circumstances surrounding Anthony’s death.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible gun ownership and the potential dangers of mixing substances with firearms. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Anthony during this difficult time.
