Newly Released Epstein Files Include List of Public Figures
The Department of Justice has recently disclosed a trove of materials related to the Jeffrey Epstein case, revealing a comprehensive list of public figures whose names appeared in the files. The list includes prominent political figures such as President Donald Trump, former President Joe Biden, former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Vice President J.D. Vance.
Other notable political figures mentioned in the documents are Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Adam Schiff, Representative Hakeem Jeffries, Representative Eric Swalwell, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former Attorney General Eric Holder.
In addition to political figures, high-profile business and media personalities were also listed, including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Tucker Carlson, and Jared Kushner. Celebrities such as George Clooney, Robert De Niro, Alec Baldwin, Barbra Streisand, and Bruce Springsteen were also named in the materials.
The Justice Department emphasized that being named in the files does not imply wrongdoing. They explained that names appear in a variety of contexts, with some individuals having direct contact with Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell, while others were mentioned in passing, such as in unrelated news reports.
Furthermore, the Department clarified that no records were withheld or redacted for political reasons. They stated, “No records were withheld or redacted ‘on the basis of embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity.'”
The release of these materials sheds new light on the scope of individuals connected to the Epstein case and underscores the importance of transparency in high-profile investigations.
