Trump Calls for Release of Epstein Files After Initially Downplaying Situation
Former President Donald Trump has done a complete turnaround on the issue of releasing the Epstein files, urging Republicans to vote in favor of making them public. Trump initially dismissed the Epstein situation as a “Democratic hoax,” but now insists that there is nothing to hide.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown.”
Trump continued to denounce the situation as a “Democratic hoax perpetrated by radical left lunatics,” emphasizing that Republicans need to focus on key issues such as the economy, affordability, tax cuts, and national security.
