President Donald Trump received a rough welcome at the Commanders stadium after flying in on Air Force One. The crowd loudly booed him as soon as he appeared on the jumbotron.
Trump made history as the first sitting POTUS in nearly half a century to attend a regular season NFL game. However, the fans were unimpressed and expressed their disapproval with loud boos.

The crowd continued to boo as Trump’s image appeared on the screen and when he was introduced by the announcer. Even a military oath reading during an enlistment ceremony was overshadowed by the negative reaction.
Trump reportedly left the game before it ended, possibly due to the unfavorable response to his presence.
During his time at the game, Trump managed to secure an 8-minute interview in the broadcast booth. He reminisced about his high school football days at New York Military Academy, where he played tight end.
Recent reports suggest that Trump desires the Commanders to name their upcoming D.C. stadium after him, as he claims credit for the stadium’s rebuilding.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt expressed support for the idea, stating, “That would be a beautiful name, as it was President Trump who made the rebuilding of the new stadium possible.”
Given the reaction from the fans at the game, it seems like the Commanders may need to reconsider their decision on naming the stadium.
