“The Apprentice” Lands on Prime Video
Amazon made a major announcement on Monday, revealing that the iconic reality competition series “The Apprentice” is now available for streaming on Prime Video. The show, originally hosted by current U.S. President Donald Trump, first premiered in 2004 and has since become a cultural phenomenon. Season 1 is currently available for viewers in the United States, with subsequent seasons set to release weekly on Mondays until April 27.
In a statement, Trump expressed his excitement about the show’s return, reminiscing about the valuable lessons and entertaining moments the series provided. “I look forward to watching this show myself — such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!” he shared.
“The Apprentice” was created by legendary producer Mark Burnett and MGM Alternative, a division of Amazon MGM Studios. Both Burnett and Trump serve as executive producers on the series, which garnered a massive following during its original run. With an average weekly audience of 20 million viewers in its first season, the show went on to air for 15 seasons and nearly 200 episodes, including spin-offs like “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
Burnett praised the show’s success, crediting Trump’s charismatic presence for its popularity. He expressed enthusiasm about introducing a new generation of viewers to the series through Prime Video, drawing parallels to the resurgence of interest in “Survivor” during the pandemic. “This show is a love letter to New York City! ‘Survivor’ grew an entirely new massive audience as a result of old seasons being binged during the pandemic. On Monday, March 10, this same phenomenon will begin again…with ‘The Apprentice,'” Burnett remarked.
While this marks the first time “The Apprentice” is available on Prime Video, the show had previously been accessible on Tubi in 2019. However, the series has since been removed from the platform, making its return to streaming services a highly anticipated event.
As fans eagerly await the release of each new season on Prime Video, the legacy of “The Apprentice” continues to captivate audiences with its blend of competition, drama, and business acumen. Stay tuned for more updates and episodes of this iconic reality series on Prime Video.
