The Pixel 10 series is set to launch this month, and the excitement is building as leaks and rumors continue to surface. Google has even given us a sneak peek at the design of the Pixel 10 Pro XL on its official store, while leaked renders have revealed the looks of the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold.

Despite the familiar appearance of the upcoming phones, there are several upgrades expected that may not be immediately obvious. Here are six key enhancements to look out for in the Pixel 10 series:

  1. Tensor G5: Google is likely to introduce a new chipset, the Tensor G5, with improved performance and power efficiency. The switch to a 3nm process and the addition of a new GPU could enhance gaming features like ray tracing.
  2. Bigger batteries: The Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold are rumored to receive battery capacity upgrades, potentially improving overall battery life.
  3. Even faster charging: Charging speeds are expected to increase across the Pixel 10 series, with the Pixel 10 Pro XL likely to see a bump from 37W to 39W.
  4. Built-in Qi2 support: Google may add Qi2 wireless charging support to its Pixel phones, potentially without the need for additional accessories. This feature could open up compatibility with a range of accessories under the ‘Pixelsnap’ branding.
  5. Android 16’s big redesign: The Pixel 10 series is expected to run on Android 16 out of the box, possibly introducing Google’s new ‘Material 3 Expressive’ design for a fresh visual experience.
  6. Even better AI: Enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities powered by the Tensor G5 chip could lead to faster load times, improved accuracy, and the introduction of new AI features.

    While the Pixel 10 series may not seem like a major departure from its predecessors at first glance, the underlying upgrades and potential new features suggest that Google is aiming to deliver a compelling user experience.
