The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced a star-studded lineup of performers and presenters for the upcoming induction ceremony, which will be live-streamed on October 19. Among the notable names set to pay tribute to the 2024 inductees are actor Julia Roberts, hip-hop producer Dr. Dre, pop sensation Dua Lipa, and country stars Keith Urban and Jelly Roll.
As is customary for the Hall of Fame, the distinction between live performers and induction speech presenters is often kept under wraps until the event. This element of surprise adds to the anticipation and excitement for fans. Some connections are easier to make, such as when Jimmy Buffett’s band member Mac McAnally and frequent duet partner Kenny Chesney are scheduled to appear in the year Buffett is being inducted.
The lineup for the webcast includes Busta Rhymes, Demi Lovato, Ella Mai, James Taylor, Method Man, Roger Daltrey, Sammy Hagar, Slash, and The Roots, among others. Each of these figures will be paying tribute to the newly voted-in inductees, which include Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Ozzy Osbourne, and A Tribe Called Quest, among others. The ceremony will also honor music legends Alexis Korner, John Mayall, and Big Mama Thornton under the Musical Influence banner, as well as exec Suzanne De Passe with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
The induction ceremony will be live-streamed nationally on Disney+ on October 19, with an edited prime-time special airing on ABC on New Year’s Day. The show will be produced and directed by Joel Gallen and Tenth Planet Productions, with John Sykes, Joel Peresman, and Gallen serving as executive producers.
Fans can look forward to a memorable and star-studded event that celebrates the incredible talent and influence of this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Stay tuned for an unforgettable night of music and celebration.
