The anticipation is building as WWE SmackDown is about to go live with the final push towards Saturday Night’s Main Event 39. Following the intense rivalries that developed during WrestleMania 41 season, tensions are running high among the superstars as they gear up for this weekend’s event. In a recent interview, Drew McIntyre shared a concerning update ahead of his Steel Cage match against Damian Priest at SNME XXXIX.

The Scottish Psychopath, who considers Tampa his second hometown after moving there from Scotland at a young age, reflected on his time in the city and how it shaped him into the man he is today. Recalling his days spent at MacDinton’s, where he met his wife and bonded with Sheamus, McIntyre hinted at the brutal nature of the upcoming Steel Cage match by drawing parallels to the bar fights he experienced in his youth.

“I had some fun bar fights in Tampa in my 20s. [Saturday] is going to resemble one of those bar fights. It’s going to be a freaking massacre,” McIntyre remarked, setting the stage for what promises to be a brutal showdown at SNME.

While McIntyre is not scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Damian Priest is set to make an appearance. However, rumors suggest that McIntyre may deliver a pre-recorded promo similar to Priest’s segment from last week.

As the anticipation for SNME XXXIX continues to build, fans can expect a fierce battle between McIntyre and Priest inside the Steel Cage. With both superstars looking to settle their score once and for all, the stage is set for a showdown of epic proportions.
