Dsquared2 Spring 2026 Collections: Embracing Exaggeration and Glamour

Despite the absence of a traditional runway show, the spring 2026 Dsquared2 collections are making a bold statement. Dean and Dan Caten, the dynamic duo behind the brand, have described their latest creations as embodying the essence of “exaggeration.” By playing with strong contrasts in prints, shapes, and bold decorations, the Catens have aimed to achieve a sense of “excess” that nods to the glamour of fashion editorials from the 1990s and 2000s.

For the men’s collection, the juxtaposition of see-through pop-colored shirts and cheetah prints with sartorial suits and workwear-inspired pieces creates a visually dynamic aesthetic. The addition of studs, intarsia embroidery, transparent maxi-sequins, and ton-sur-ton cockade appliquĂ©s further enhances the overall decorative flair of the collection. The incorporation of elements such as rugby-inspired tops with massive power shoulders showcases the Catens’ penchant for complex constructions and rule-breaking designs.

Similarly, the womenswear collection features a mix of bold decorations and hybrid styles. Corsetry elements are reimagined on military pieces layered over flowing dresses, while blazers are paired with activewear fastenings and sporty tank tops are adorned with backpack straps for a faux layered look. The bodysuit-shirt hybrid is a standout piece, along with t-shirts featuring prints inspired by the Dsquared2 archive from the ICONique capsule introduced during the Catens’ 30th anniversary show in February.

Overall, the spring 2026 Dsquared2 collections showcase the Catens’ commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing extravagance. By infusing their designs with a mix of bold prints, intricate decorations, and unexpected hybrids, Dean and Dan Caten continue to captivate fashion enthusiasts with their unique vision and fearless approach to fashion.
