Dua Lipa Celebrates New Kosovo Citizenship at Sunny Hill Festival
Dua Lipa recently kicked off her festival, Sunny Hill, in Kosovo with much excitement and celebration. The pop star was granted Kosovo citizenship this week, a moment she described as feeling like her two sides are now one. She expressed her love for the country and how much this honor means to her and her family.
The citizenship ceremony, led by President Vjosa Osmani, featured a choir of children singing Lipa’s hit song “Levitating.” Lipa herself looked stunning in a chocolate brown, sculptural leather mini dress from Ferragamo, paired with Paris Texas pumps and a red shoulder bag.
Following the ceremony, Lipa dove straight into three days of festivities at Sunny Hill. She brought a wardrobe inspired by Glastonbury, with one of her looks featuring a white and black graphic Sunny Hill festival t-shirt, paired with blue Re/Done frayed denim shorts and a Chrome Hearts western black and gold belt. She completed the look with her favorite pair of Miu Miu black leather buckle boots.

As the headliner of the Friday night lineup at Sunny Hill, Lipa took the stage in a series of glamorous and glitzy outfits. Her tour wardrobe, inspired by Radical Optimism, included custom Attico mini dresses, Jean Paul Gaultier bustiers, a sheer Balenciaga gown, and a show-stopping Chanel bodysuit reminiscent of Christy Turlington’s iconic ’90s look. For Sunny Hill, she dazzled in a silver and white Dilara Fındıkoğlu bra and corset with silvery fringes, as well as a glittery burgundy bodysuit with tassels.
After her performance at Sunny Hill in Prishtina, Lipa took to Instagram to express her gratitude: “Sharing this night with you all, in the city that shaped me, surrounded by so much energy, joy, and pride…it’s hard to put into words what it means.”
