A fortunate individual from Dunedin is set to enter 2025 as a multi-millionaire after winning a whopping $4.3 million in tonight’s Lotto draw, thanks to Powerball First Division. The winning ticket was purchased at Whitcoulls on George St, Dunedin.

The prize comprises $4 million from Powerball First Division and an additional $333,333 from Lotto First Division. This latest win marks the twenty-third Powerball multi-millionaire of 2024, following closely on the heels of an Auckland player who recently won $5.3 million on Christmas Day.

In addition to the jackpot winner, two other lucky Lotto players will be celebrating after each securing $333,333 with Lotto First Division in tonight’s draw. The winning tickets were sold at Fresh Choice Mangere Bridge in Auckland and New World Bishopdale in Christchurch.

Furthermore, Lotto NZ’s “biggest Christmas ever” promotion saw over 100 extra prizes awarded tonight. Another fortunate individual will be welcoming the new year as a millionaire, with the winning ticket sold at Plaza Supervalue in Invercargill.

Additionally, 100 winners will be extending their summer holidays with $50,000 each. Participants can verify their promotion tickets on MyLotto to see if they are among the lucky winners.

Strike Four has rolled over and will offer a prize of $800,000 on Wednesday night. Individuals who purchased their tickets from the aforementioned stores are advised to promptly check their tickets in-store, on MyLotto, or via the MyLotto App.

For any inquiries on claiming a prize, players can contact Lotto NZ at 0800 695 6886.
