Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Greek tennis sensation, recently made headlines for receiving a €2,000 fine for overspeeding in his luxury Lotus at 210 km/h on Attiki Odos. This incident marked one of the first instances of individuals being digitally fined through the gov.gr platform after the installation of smart cameras on Greek roads.

Tsitsipas had faced a challenging season due to persistent back issues, which forced him to withdraw from various tournaments, including Wimbledon and the Asian hard-court events. The player underwent lower back surgery to address a chronic problem or hernia and took a mindful break from social media to focus on his recovery.

Despite these setbacks, Tsitsipas managed to secure a victory at the Dubai Tennis Championships, where he defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final. This win marked his first ATP 500 title after falling short in 11 previous finals.

Reflecting on his successful 2019 season, Tsitsipas reminisced about his ATP Finals triumph, where he defeated top players like Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Roger Federer, and Dominic Thiem. He expressed his desire to experience that level of success again and shared a heartfelt message on his social media handle.

In 2025, Tsitsipas made a coaching change by partnering with Goran Ivanisevic. However, their collaboration was short-lived as Ivanisevic criticized Tsitsipas for being unprepared, leading to their separation.

As Tsitsipas navigates through the highs and lows of his professional tennis career, he continues to strive for excellence on the court. With a resilient spirit and a determination to succeed, Tsitsipas remains a formidable force in the world of tennis.
