A Southern California man, identified as Fernando Ramirez, has been hit with 74 felony charges after allegedly plowing his car into a crowd outside an East Hollywood nightclub over the weekend. The incident resulted in 37 people being injured, some critically.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has charged Ramirez with 37 counts each of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. It is alleged that he intentionally drove onto the sidewalk outside The Vermont Hollywood around 2 AM on Saturday, striking multiple pedestrians.

Eight victims suffered severe bodily injuries, and Ramirez was reportedly out on bail in a separate domestic violence case from Orange County. He is currently being held without bail.
If convicted on all charges, Ramirez could face multiple life sentences in state prison.
