Cleaning the bathroom is a chore that many people dread, but it doesn’t have to be a daunting task. With a few simple steps, you can easily clean your bathroom in an eco-friendly way. Here are four steps to make cleaning your bathroom a breeze:

1. Start with the glass shower doors: If your glass shower doors are cloudy from hard water and soap residue, you can easily clean them with vinegar. Heat 1 to 2 cups of vinegar and pour it into a spray bottle with a fine mist setting. Spray the vinegar on the shower doors and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Wipe off the vinegar with a damp cloth or non-abrasive scrubber to reveal streak-free, gleaming glass.

2. Move on to the toilet: Cleaning the toilet may not be the most pleasant task, but it’s necessary. Instead of using a toilet brush, which can harbor germs and bacteria, try using rubber gloves, a compostable cloth sponge, and a small amount of dish soap or Castile soap. This will allow you to thoroughly clean the toilet without the risk of brush backsplash. You can also use a pumice stone to remove any buildup from toilet rings without damaging the enamel of the bowl.

3. Brighten the bathtub: To clean a dingy bathtub, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of baking soda with a squirt of Castile soap or dish soap. Use a cloth or non-abrasive pad to scrub the tub from top to bottom, rinsing with warm water. This simple method is chemical-free and will give your tub a sparkling clean finish.

4. Clean mirrors, faucets, and countertops: Fill a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water to clean mirrors, faucets, and countertops. This mixture will leave your surfaces spotless and shining.

With just a few simple ingredients and 15 minutes of your time, you can have a clean and fresh bathroom without the use of harmful chemicals. So, next time you tackle the bathroom cleaning, remember these tips to make the task easier and more environmentally friendly.
